Terms & Conditions Lundy Lodges

Thank you for choosing to book with Lundy Lodges, please ensure you read and understand these terms and conditions. When making a booking you are entering an agreement with us.
o The contract binds you and all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking.
o The price includes accommodation plus any additional extras chosen at the time of booking.
o Bookings are CONFIRMED on receipt of the deposit of 30% of the booking cost, this is non-refundable. Bookings made less than six weeks before your arrival date must be paid in full.
o The balance must be paid no later than six weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If the balance is not received by the due date, Lundy Lodges reserves the right to retain your deposit and relet the accommodation.
o All CANCELLATIONS must be notified via telephone or email immediately. If you cancel your holiday more than 6 weeks before it is due to start, then your deposit will be forfeit. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the holiday, then the full balance remains due and is not refundable.
o For this reason, you may wish to take out cancellation/holiday insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker. If you choose not to take out UK travel insurance, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
o Your booking will not be cancelled by the owner except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
o Should you wish to make a change to your confirmed booking by swapping to an alternative date, then that is possible in specific personal circumstances, please note an additional charge is likely to apply due to seasonality pricing. We would need to know 2 weeks in advance, at the latest, to fill any booking. If we can not fill the booking, we are unable to process any type of refund.
o Every effort will be made to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. However, if you have any problems or case for complaint, it is essential that you contact us immediately to give us the chance to resolve it. We live nearby and will do our best to resolve any problem. We value your custom and want you to return.
o We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
o Please take care when staying at Lundy Lodges. You are responsible for and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repairs if the damage or breakage is significant.
o Guests are asked to keep the lodges clean and tidy and to leave it in a similar condition of cleanliness to when you arrived. Any additional cleaning of the property, following your departure, beyond the normal amount reasonably required, may be charged for.
o WI-FI and electricity is provided for the guest’s reasonable use (this excludes electric car charging). We will not be liable for slow wi-fi connections or for any interruptions to or the failure of these services.
o Electric Vehicles – Domestic chargers are not permitted at Lundy Lodges, “granny charger” or a “trickle charger” are not suitable for use in either lodge and will create a fire hazard that our insurance does not cover. The use of domestic chargers is strictly forbidden. Guests staying at Castle View can request use of the dedicated charging point.
o Smoking is not allowed in either Lodge or in Begwyns View Retreat Deck.
o Guests are asked not to use the lodges for any illegal or immoral purposes.
o Not to play or permit to be played in the lodges any musical instruments or sound production equipment between 10pm and 7am or so as to be audible outside the premises.
o Not to play music outside after 10pm. The lodges are secluded but noise travels down the valley to nearby residents.
o To permit the Owners or their agents access to the lodges to deal with any
maintenance or security issues.

Lundy Lodge Begwyns View – Pet Policy

o ONLY Begwyns View lodge is pet friendly.
o We are delighted to welcome you and your furry friend(s) to Lundy Lodges. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone, please review our pet-friendly guidelines.
o Please confirm during the booking process that you’ll be bringing a pet. Maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are permitted.
o Bring your pet’s essentials, including food, water bowls, bedding and toys.
o Our local vet is Hay Veterinary Group, Forest Rd, Hay-on-Wye. 01497820863.
o The garden is fully in closed and safe for your pets to roam around the lodge but please do not leave them unattended either inside the lodge, the Retreat Deck or in the garden.
o Please keep pets on a leash when walking down to the farm and/or around the open moorlands. The farm has 4 sheep dogs who remain on the farm but can occasionally wander to the lodges, if they cause any nuisance, please let us know immediately.
o Clean up after your pet promptly. Waste disposal bags should be put in the black wheelie bin by the back door.
o Please keep pets off furniture and beds. Bring your pet’s own bedding for their comfort.
o Dogs are strictly prohibited from the hottub and sauna in the Retreat Deck.

Lundy Lodge Castle View – Electrical Vehicle Charging Policy

o This policy sets how Electrical Vehicles (EV) should be recharged while at Castle View lodge and the responsibility of EV owners in respect of safe charging.
o The policy applies to all members of the Booking Party.
o Domestic chargers (“granny charger” or a “trickle charger”) are not permitted at Lundy Lodges.
o We retain the right to carry out reasonable inspection, on a without notice basis, to ensure that granny chargers are not in use in the lodges.
o You are solely liable for any damage or loss suffered by us as a result of your unauthorised use of domestic chargers.
o Castle View has a dedicated charge point for guests staying at this lodge. It is located on the Games Room building across from the lodges back door. It is the user’s sole responsibility to supply a suitable charging cable to avail of the DCP.
o DCPs are subject to fair usage and charges shall be applied to the booking and subsequently settled upon Check-out.
o We do not guarantee the availability of a DCP and unavailability of the DCP shall not constitute a breach of our guest terms.
o Authorisation for the use of the DCP during your stay must be made prior to Booking. We reserve the right to withdraw this authority at any time and for any reason.
o Use of the DCP is at the owners own risk and we do not accept any liability for loss or damage sustained by you or your EV as a result of using the DCP unless the damage was caused directly by our negligence.
o You shall be responsible to us for any damage to the DCP or loss suffered by us caused by your use of the DCP.
